Job summary

Qualifications

Case Manager 3

Position Summary

Case Manager 3 should maintain a complete understanding of all applicable Program policies, requirements, and procedures and review all cases within the guidelines established. They may assist with or lead day-to-day program management activities, which may include processing, monitoring, tracking and reporting applications within a functional area with little or no direct supervision. Case Manager 3 may specialize in specific subjects within the functional area.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with applicants, stakeholders, and program partners to facilitate case resolution.

• Support quality assurance efforts and provide guidance on program requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• A four year Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Three years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• At least three years of experience relevant to the functional area and/or experience providing specialized advisory service, which may include construction, financial, housing, and/or related industry knowledge. Experience with CDBG housing and/or FEMA hazard mitigation and similar programs/projects is preferred.
• Must manage at least six Case Managers levels 1 or 2.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the job function with little to no supervision, while remaining acutely aware of timelines, meeting deadlines, and performance measures.
• Ability to acquire a working knowledge of applicable rules and regulations and the ability to provide technical assistance for the Program.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong analytical skills, ability to work independently, and effective interpersonal skills.
• Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills; knowledge of creating tables and graphs in Microsoft Excel; ability to quickly learn new software applications.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through electronic means.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry items up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to travel locally as needed.

Work Environment

• In-office requirements in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
