Job summary

Homeward Bound is seeking a Case Manager to support individuals experiencing chronic homelessness in Buncombe County. The role focuses on goal planning, housing stability, and collaboration with the Compass Point Village team to provide comprehensive services onsite.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with preference for experience with mental health and substance use disorders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, social services, or comparable experience.
• Experience working with mental illnesses and substance abuse disorders.
• Passion and compassion for people experiencing homelessness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of up to 18 clients, onsite at Compass Point Village.
• Develop and strengthen client goal plans to create housing stability.
• Collaborate with the case management team and residents to solve behaviors that risk housing.
• Provide client training on personal hygiene, resources, and life skills.
• Assist in moving in/moving out clients and perform unit inspections.
