SCO Family of Services is seeking a housing counselor to assist consumers with employment opportunities and to implement job readiness training and life skills sessions in New York, NY. The role involves coordinating with Housing Resources on high and medium risk cases, assisting with form completion, and maintaining client files.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with some experience in housing counseling, business, real estate, accounting, housing authority or property management, or a related field.
• Or any equivalent combination of education and experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities cited above preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assists consumers with employment opportunities.
• Implements job readiness training, educational and vocational skills to consumers
• Develop a work bank
• Implementing life skills sessions
• Coordinates high and medium risk cases with Housing Resources
• Assembles information for the completion of forms for the preparation of reports.
• Prepares and types correspondence, reports, forms, contracts and specialized documents from drafts, notes, dictated tapes, or brief instructions, using a computer.
