Job summary

CWS Orange County seeks a dedicated Case Manager to empower newcomers and help them integrate into their communities. You will deliver individualized case management, connect clients with essential resources, and coordinate with partner agencies to strengthen referral networks.

The role requires collaboration across teams, advocacy for clients, and culturally competent services. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and 3–4 years of refugee case work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–4 years of refugee or immigrant case management experience.
• Bilingual in English and a refugee language preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and internet applications.
• Strong organizational, time management and trauma-informed communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive case management for refugees, SIV holders, and other ORR-eligible newcomers.
• Collaborate with program teams to ensure coordinated service delivery.
• Develop individualized service plans and assist clients in navigating resources.
• Advocate with local service providers to ensure equitable access to services.
• Build and maintain relationships with health and mental health providers to improve access to care.
• Provide technical assistance and cultural competency trainings to service providers.
• Develop tailored programming to support families facing resettlement challenges.
• Monitor client progress and update service plans as needed.
• Organize workshops on literacy, stress management, self-care, women’s health, and family well-being.
• Ensure accurate and timely case file documentation and data entry.
• Travel regularly within the service area for home visits and meetings.
• Participate in team meetings and staff development activities.

Purpose

The purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive case management services that empower newcomers to successfully integrate into their communities. By delivering individualized support, connecting clients to essential resources, andfacilitatingaccess to higher levels of care when needed, the Case Manager plays a critical role in helping refugees achieve stability and long-term self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-depth case management services to refugees, SIV holders, and other ORR-eligible newcomers.

• Work with clients to develop individualized, achievable service plans and support them in navigating resources and programs to address barriers to resettlement and self-sufficiency.
• Advocate on behalf of clients with local service providers and community agencies to strengthen referral systems and ensureequitableaccess to services.
• Build andmaintainrelationships with health and mental health providers to expand access and improve culturally responsive care for clients.
• Provide technicalassistanceand cultural competency trainings to service providers to enhance their capacity to serve populations.
• Explore and develop tailored programming and innovative opportunities to support families facing unique challenges in their resettlement journey.
• Conduct regular assessments andmonitorclient progress to ensure goals are met, resources areutilizedeffectively, and service plans are updated as needed.
• Organize workshops and group sessions for clients to promote stability, health, and wellness, with topics such as literacy, stress management, self-care, women's health, and family well-being.
• Ensureaccurateandtimelycase file documentation and data entryin accordance withprogram and compliance requirements.
• Travel regularly within the service delivery area for home visits, agency meetings, and provider coordination.
• Activelyparticipatein team meetings, training, and staff development activities to strengthen program delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• 3-4years' experience working with refugees or immigrants, andpreviouscase management experience.

Other Skills:

• Strongly preferred that candidates are bilingual in English and a refugee language.
• The successful candidate must be computer literate, withproficiencyin MS Office Suite (Word and Excel) and internet applications.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills arerequired.
• Excellent communication skills are essential, including an ability to communicate in a trauma-informed, positive, caring, and professional manner,demonstratingrespect and empathy.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environmentrequired.
