Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a dedicated Family Support Specialist to deliver Level 3 of the Triple P Parenting Program, provide trauma-informed parenting support, and coordinate case management for families with children aged 0-12.

You will conduct brief consultations, support homework completion, and coordinate with partner organizations to reduce child maltreatment while maintaining documentation and contributing to program evaluation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, family studies, counseling, or related field required or equivalent experience.
• Experience implementing evidence-based parenting programs (Triple P preferred) or working with families in behavioral health or child development settings.
• Willingness to complete Triple P Level 3 certification within 3 months of hire if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Level 3 of the Triple P Parenting Program to families with children ages 0-12.
• Provide trauma-informed, individualized parenting support through brief consultations and case management.
• Facilitate homework assignments and reinforce parenting strategies with families.
• Identify behavioral concerns and make respectful referrals to partner organizations when needed.
• Support outreach, recruitment, documentation, and program evaluation activities.
• Coordinate ISPs, track progress, and report outcomes.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?

• You will play a key role in reducing child maltreatment by delivering Level 3 of the evidence-based Triple P Parenting Program to families with children ages 0-12 in Bernalillo County.
• You will focus on providing responsive, trauma-informed, and individualized parenting support to underserved families through brief consultations, case management, and practical skill-building.
• You will assist in facilitating homework assignments to reinforce parenting strategies, identifying behavioral concerns, and making respectful referrals to partner organizations when risk factors are present.
• You will support outreach and recruitment efforts, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to ongoing evaluation and reporting to ensure program effectiveness and continuous quality improvement.

Case Management and Service Planning

• Skilled in developing, maintaining, and modifying Individualized Service Plans (ISPs).
• Ability to track progress, document outcomes, and coordinate referrals to partner agencies.

Mental Health Screening and Support

• Proficiency in administering tools like the DASS-21 (Depression Anxiety Stress Scale).
• Understanding of basic mental health indicators and referral protocols.

Community Outreach and Engagement

• Experience building partnerships with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
• Ability to conduct outreach and recruitment campaigns to engage families.

Program Evaluation and Reporting

• Competence in collecting and analyzing data for performance measures.
• Ability to prepare monthly invoices, quarterly reports, and final program summaries.

Bilingual Communication (English/Spanish)

• Fluency in Spanish preferred; ability to work with interpreters for other languages.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.

Flexible Service Delivery

• Comfortable providing services in various formats: in-person, phone, and virtual.
• Willingness to travel throughout Bernalillo County and surrounding areas.
• May require occasional evening or weekend hours to accommodate family schedules or outreach events

Minimum Qualifications And Competencies

Education/Background:

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Family Studies, Counseling, or a related fieldorcombination of education and at least 2 years of relevant experience in case management, family support services, or child welfare.
• Prior experience implementing evidence-based parenting programs (Triple P preferred) or working with families in a behavioral health or child development setting, is preferred.

Certifications:

• Willingness to complete Triple P Level 3 certification within 3-months of hire (if not already certified).

Language:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Ability to work with interpreters for other languages as needed.

Other Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license in good standing and proof of insurance.
• Ability to travel throughout Bernalillo County and surrounding areas.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
