Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. is seeking a Case Management Associate to assist in developing and maintaining systems that support daily activity of SW/RN Case Managers. You will work closely with the Case Management team to help with discharge planning and utilization review.

The role emphasizes effective communication, confidentiality, and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare setting. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a preference for bilingual Spanish speakers and prior case

Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Case Management Associate (CMA) assists in development and maintenance of systems to support daily SW/RN Case Manager activities. The CMA will work side by side with the SW/RN Case Management to assist with discharge planning and utilization review activities.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. 3 years experience in patient care or other related healthcare field preferred.

2. Previous experience in Case Management, discharge planning or utilization management is strongly preferred.

3. Bilingual preferred (Spanish).

4. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.

SKILLS:

1. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

2. Effective interpersonal skills

3. Ability to maintain confidentiality

4. Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities

5. Knowledge and experience with computers, common Microsoft Office applications, and electronic medical records

EDUCATION / LICENSURE:

1. High school graduate or GED. Preferred 2 years health related work experience. i.e.: behavior health, public health, medical clinic, acute hospital, community health) is strongly preferred.
