Overview

Are you detail-oriented with editing and proofreading experience? Do you possess strong verbal communication skills? If so, consider our Case Coordinator position for our Portland, OR (REMOTE) office.


This role involves receiving, coordinating, and returning completed reports to clients. You will work closely with the clinical quality assurance team to ensure high-quality, compliant work, including proofreading and editing reports.


Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform quality assurance reviews of reports, correspondences, addendums, or supplemental reviews.
  • Ensure clear, evidence-based rationales support all recommendations and determinations.
  • Follow all client instructions and address all questions.
  • Support reviews with current, reputable medical citations and references.
  • Maintain the highest standards for content, format, and professional appearance of reports.
  • Verify case reviews comply with client specifications, state mandates, and are accurately documented.
  • Ensure peer reviewer attestations are factual and free of conflicts of interest.
  • Adhere to provider credentials and signatures on final reports.
  • Identify and resolve inconsistencies within reports.
  • Assist with customer complaints and quality assurance issues.
  • Comply with federal ERISA and state mandates.
  • Provide insights on quality, availability, and compliance to management.
  • Participate in training and educational activities.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; minimum two years of clinical or related experience, or equivalent education and experience. Knowledge of insurance claims management, especially in workers' compensation, no-fault, liability, or disability.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, medications, and lab values.
  • Proficient in basic math and rate/percentage calculations.
  • Qualified typist with at least 40 W.P.M.
  • Proficient with computers and software like Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Internet.
  • Excellent English language skills, including grammar, punctuation, and style.
  • Effective communication, independent work ability, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize, focus, and work under pressure.
  • Professional appearance and reliability.
