Job summary

Gulf Coast JFCS is seeking a role that supports processing authorizations and documentation under the direction of a Case Manager. The position includes assisting with service delivery issues, client eligibility evaluation, and maintaining records while ensuring productivity and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in fast-paced, detail-oriented environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of community organizations and resources.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Must complete 701b Assessment training and certification within 12 months.
  • Valid driver’s license with proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with processing authorizations under guidance of Case Manager.
  • Help resolve service delivery problems as needed.
  • Assist with evaluating client eligibility for programs, including Medicaid eligibility when appropriate.
  • Complete and submit accurate documentation, including client records.
  • Assist with internal file monitoring and provide clerical support.
  • Track service logs and calendars.
  • Complete required service reports.
  • Refer potential clients to appropriate services.
  • Maintain productivity as directed by supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Assist with processing authorizations at the direction of the Case Manager

  • Complete required service reports as needed
  • Communicate with potential clients for evaluation of services and provide appropriate referrals as needed
  • Maintain established productivity requirements as established by the supervisor
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment preferred
  • Considerable knowledge of community organization and resources
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Must have considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to maintain current, accurate records with efficiency
  • Must successfully complete 701b Assessment training and receive certification within 12 months of employment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with proof of auto insurance coverage.
