Job summary

55 Compass Connections is seeking a qualified professional to support foster care services. The role requires meeting federal and state guidelines, and documenting information in Salesforce and UC Portal according to agency policy.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in trainings, manage records, and assist with reunification processes while maintaining confidentiality and adapting to a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in Spanish and English required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree preferred.
  • First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention certifications desirable.
  • 1+ year of related experience and/or training required; 2+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards applicable to this position.
  • Enter information in Salesforce and UC Portal as required by agency policy and procedures.
  • Review Salesforce and UC Portal for compliance with federal guidelines and state minimum standards.
  • Document information related to delays in the reunification process.
  • Review and sign children’s records in accordance with policy and contract standards.
  • Participate in meetings and team decisions and operations.
  • Join workshops and training programs to support professional growth.
  • Compile and maintain accurate records, files, forms, statistics, and related information.
  • Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Implement safety protocols and evacuate with children during emergencies.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all program operations.
  • Adhere to agency codes of conduct and dress code.
  • Complete calls with families and sponsors to gather information for reunification.
  • Develop safety and service-related resources prior to discharge.
  • Input updates in UC Portal for safe and timely discharge.
  • Provide National Call Center referrals for identified service gaps.
  • Support case management, clinical and medical teams.
  • Meet deadlines set by supervisor and federal partners.
  • Support and recruit foster parents (Foster Care Programs).

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); 2‑year Associate degree or two or more years of college‑level coursework in a related field (preferred).
  • Certifications: First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention.
  • Language: Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Work experience: 1+ year of related experience and/or training (required); 2+ years (preferred).
Requirements
  • Pass a pre‑employment drug screen and random drug screens during employment.
  • Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
  • Pass a pre‑employment and biennial criminal background check.
  • Demonstrate the ability to:
    • Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio‑economic characteristics.
    • Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals.
    • Provide crisis intervention according to training provided by Compass Connections when needed to maintain a safe environment.
    • Work in a fast‑paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.
    • Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
    • Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.
  • Receive an annual Influenza vaccination or obtain an approved exemption as a medical or religious accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in scheduled meetings and team decisions and operations.
  • Participate in workshops, seminars, education programs and activities that promote professional growth and development.
  • Compile, prepare, submit and maintain accurate records, files, forms, statistics, and additional information in accordance with agency policies, licensing and contract requirements.
  • Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by position supervisor.
  • Implement Compass Connections safety protocols, including evacuating with children and other staff in case of an emergency.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all areas of child and program operations.
  • Maintain Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in the employee handbook, including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children, and community members and complying with the required dress code at all times.
  • Complete calls with families and/or sponsors as assigned to gather information used for reunification.
  • Develop safety and service‑related resources prior to the discharge of the service population.
  • Review UC Portal for compliance with upload requirements and ensure the input of updates as needed for safe and timely discharge.
  • Provide the National Call Center referrals for service gaps identified during 30‑day calls.
  • Support assigned case management, clinical and medical team.
  • Meet all deadlines set by program supervisor and federal partners.
  • Support, encourage and recruit foster parents (Foster Care Programs).
