Job summary

Hanover County Government is seeking a CASA Specialist to support the Court Appointed Special Advocate program. You will supervise volunteers, manage case assignments, and ensure effective advocacy for children in the court system.

The role requires Bachelor’s degree, experience with volunteer organizations, and knowledge of juvenile justice or child welfare systems. You will work in an office setting with some travel for court appearances and training events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience with volunteer organizations.
• Knowledge of juvenile justice and child welfare systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and collaborate with partners.

Responsibilities

• Supervise up to 15 volunteer advocates and manage their cases.
• Screen applicants and conduct interviews.
• Coordinate volunteer trainings and swearing-in ceremonies.
• Assign volunteers to cases and review case progress.
• Maintain case files and input data in CASA Manager.
• Promote Hanover CASA in the community and build partnerships.
