Job summary

ShopRite of Brunswick in East Brunswick, NJ is hiring a CSA/Carts Clerk. You will deliver friendly customer service, collect carts from the parking lot, and assist customers with groceries as needed. The role requires standing for shifts, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working cooperatively with the team.

The position is part of retail front-end operations, with responsibilities to maintain clean aisles, stock areas, and promote promotions in-store while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to adhere to time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work/shopping environment.
• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Remove debris from carts and collect empty carts for return.
• Handle damaged or return-to-stock products per policy, with focus on perishable items.
• Perform duties in accordance with QA standards and safety policies.
• Dress and groom according to Company policy; wear required uniform and name badge.
• Promote current charitable promotions to Customers.
• Be knowledgeable about products and store locations; report equipment problems.
• Complete department training and uphold ShopRite Service Priorities.
