Job summary

IKEA in New York is hiring for a part-time Customer Service / Store Associate role. You’ll handle loading and unloading, keep shopping tools stocked, assist customers, and support Returns, Click & Collect, and other service areas. The job emphasizes a positive customer experience and alignment with IKEA’s inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service within a retail environment is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced store setting.
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient car loading and unloading services while keeping the loading zone clean.
• Ensure shopping tools are stocked and maintained throughout the store during business hours.
• Fill shopping tools at closing and monitor their condition; report IT issues or unsafe items.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues independently, escalating to a manager when needed.
• Support in other customer service areas such as Exchanges, Returns, and Click & Collect as needed.
• Create a positive customer experience during Hand Out and Collect processes and contribute to IKEA culture.
