Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum 2 years broker experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience with carrier qualification and RMIS processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive daily and weekly load count, revenue and margin goals for MWL.
• Strategically match, negotiate, and book carriers with available freight.
• Negotiate rates with carriers to maximize profits and develop long-term solutions.
• Develop current carrier base for consistent lane-specific volumes.
• Verify carriers through RMIS to confirm qualification to haul for MWL.
• Establish and maintain carrier relationships for future capacity opportunities.
• Clarify load requirements with carriers for pickup/delivery.
• Manage order entry and create orders for customers via systems, phone, and email.
• Track shipments and resolve issues promptly; provide reporting to management.
