Job summary

Journey, in partnership with an established freight brokerage, is growing its TL Carrier Sales Team in Oak Brook, IL. This on-site role offers a flexible schedule, full medical, dental, vision, and a 401k plan.

You will source, vet, and build carrier relationships to cover truckload freight, book and negotiate rates, and maintain real-time updates with the customer sales team and in the TMS. The ideal candidate has 1+ years in Carrier Sales within a 3PL brokerage and 2+ years in 3PL brokerage,

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Carrier Sales experience within a 3PL brokerage preferred.
• 2+ years of 3PL brokerage experience preferred.
• Experience with FTL, dry van, reefer, flatbed, and power-only modes is a plus.
• Hunter mindset and self-motivation to win.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Source, vet, and build carrier relationships to cover truckload freight
• Book and negotiate rates for contracted and spot freight
• Maintain consistent communication with the carrier from pick up to deliver
• Provide timely updates to the internal customer sales team regarding any escalations and ensure on time delivery
• Log updates in the TMS in real time

Requirements:

• 1+ years of Carrier Sales experience within a 3pl brokerage preferred
• 2+ years of 3pl brokerage experience preferred
• Experience with FTL Dry, FTL Reefer, Flatbed, and Power-Only modes
• Hunter mindset and self-motivated to win
• Reliable daily transportation to Oak Brook (required)
