Job summary

Venture Connect is seeking a Brokerage Carrier Sales Representative to oversee in-transit shipments, while coordinating with carriers to move our customers’ freight in the most economical and efficient way possible. Our best coordinators are aggressive, energetic problem solvers in a fast-paced office environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience, with the ability to stay focused in a busy environment and multitask effectively. Competitive benefits are available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Tender shipments to optimize and consolidate loads for efficiency and profit.
• Track and trace shipment progress and update customers on load status.
• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing carriers.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and assign drivers to loads to ensure on-time pickup.
• Follow-up and communicate shipment status to meet delivery requirements.
• Proactive communication with account and sales representatives regarding issues and updates.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Post freight on websites when needed to ensure visibility to carriers.
• Fill in on other boards and assist in operations duties as needed for coverage.
• Load maintenance: coordinate with other departments to resolve issues and close completed loads.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Comply with company policies and applicable laws.
