Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or customer service.
• Minimum 1 year of carrier sales experience focusing on drayage.
• Strong understanding of transportation and drayage operations, including carrier regulations and best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint).
• Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and secure carriers and drivers for available freight.
• Manage daily dispatch operations and communicate shipment details to carriers.
• Track and monitor shipments from pickup through delivery.
• Provide timely shipment updates to internal teams and customers.
• Collect and verify carrier documentation for shipment closeout and billing.
• Build and maintain long-term carrier relationships.
• Collaborate with Account Managers on operational support, pricing, and customer updates.
• Assist with customer service and account management functions.
• Monitor market conditions, rate trends, and seasonal fluctuations.
• Generate carrier leads and onboard qualified partners.
• Identify and resolve shipment or service issues.
• Perform additional duties and project work as assigned.
