The position involves daily carrier engagement, load coordination, rate negotiation, and proactive shipment tracking from pickup through delivery to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate/Bachelor's preferred.
• 1+ year in logistics, freight brokerage, or customer service (3+ years preferred).
• 1+ year carrier sales experience focusing on drayage (3+ years preferred).
• Strong understanding of transportation and drayage operations, including carrier regs and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and secure carriers to cover freight cost-effectively.
• Manage daily dispatch communications with carriers.
• Track shipments from pickup to delivery with timely updates.
• Verify carrier documentation for on-time closeout and billing.
• Build and maintain long-term carrier relationships for reliability.
• Collaborate with Account Managers for pricing input and customer updates.
• Support customer service and account management for delivery performance.
• Stay informed on market conditions, rate trends, and seasonal fluctuations.
• Generate new carrier leads and onboard qualified partners.
• Identify and resolve shipment or service issues using sound judgment.
• Perform additional duties and project work as assigned.
