Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Lancaster, TX is hiring a Carrier Sales Representative for the Road US division. The role sources, secures, and manages carrier capacity to support freight operations and delivers value through competitive pricing and reliable transport solutions.

You will engage with carriers daily, coordinate loads, negotiate rates, and track shipments from pickup to delivery while maintaining strong customer updates and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or customer service (3+ years preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of carrier sales experience with a focus on drayage (3+ years preferred).
• Strong understanding of transportation and drayage operations, including carrier regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and secure carriers and drivers to cover available freight in a cost-effective and service-focused manner.
• Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring accurate communication of shipment details to carriers.
• Track and monitor shipments from pickup through delivery, providing timely updates to internal teams and customers.
• Collect and verify all carrier documentation for on-time shipment closeout and billing.
• Build, develop, and maintain long-term carrier relationships to strengthen capacity reliability and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to provide operational support, pricing input, and customer updates as needed.
• Assist with customer service and account management functions to ensure consistent communication and successful delivery performance.
• Stay informed on current market conditions, rate trends, and seasonal fluctuations to ensure competitive pricing.
• Generate new carrier leads and onboard qualified partners to expand DSV’s carrier network.
• Proactively identify and resolve shipment or service issues, using sound judgment and effective problem-solving.
• Perform additional duties and project work as assigned.
