Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Lancaster, TX. The Carrier Sales Representative plays a key role within the Road US brokerage team, sourcing, securing and managing carrier capacity to support freight operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1 year minimum experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or customer service (3+ years preferred).
• 1 year carrier sales experience with a focus on drayage (3+ years preferred).
• Strong understanding of transportation and drayage operations, including carrier regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and secure carriers and drivers to cover available freight in a cost-effective and service-focused manner.
• Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring accurate communication of shipment details to carriers.
• Track and monitor shipments from pickup through delivery, providing timely updates to internal teams and customers.
• Collect and verify all carrier documentation for on-time shipment closeout and billing.
• Build, develop, and maintain long-term carrier relationships to strengthen capacity reliability and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to provide operational support, pricing input, and customer updates as needed.
• Assist with customer service and account management functions to ensure consistent communication and successful delivery performance.
• Stay informed on current market conditions, rate trends, and seasonal fluctuations to ensure competitive pricing.
• Generate new carrier leads and onboard qualified partners to expand DSV’s carrier network.
• Proactively identify and resolve shipment or service issues, using sound judgment and effective problem-solving.
• Perform additional duties and project work as assigned.
