About This Role

The Carrier Energy Utility Digital Senior Product Manager will drive strategic engagement with utilities and key partners. Responsibilities include managing the entire Carrier Energy Digital product lifecycle, researching market conditions, and identifying trends for innovation. The candidate will articulate a clear vision addressing utilities' demand and load flexibility issues, interfacing between sales, BD teams, and product development phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and engage target utilities and key RTO/ISOs to validate Carrier Energy’s business model and offerings.
• Develop and maintain relationships with utility stakeholders to align solutions with their needs.
• Define utility incentive models and integrate them into pilots and solutions.
• Manage the launch and operation of utility pilots.
• Oversee partner integration into field trials to validate feasibility.
• Coordinate between utilities, partners, and internal teams to ensure alignment.
• Advocate for policies supporting Carrier Energy’s solutions.
• Develop strategies for large-scale utility engagement and prepare for full launch.
• Explore joint microgrid and energy management initiatives.

Level Of Responsibility

• Influence business decisions at the executive level.
• Handle complex problems requiring extensive analysis.
• Communicate strategic matters to senior leadership and conduct briefings.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 8+ years in business development or partnerships, preferably in utilities or energy sector.
• 5+ years launching pilot projects or initiatives with utilities and enterprise partners.
• Ability to travel up to 25% domestically.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience with demand response, VPPs, or distributed energy resources.
• Knowledge of HVAC and battery technologies or energy management solutions.
• Proven consultative sales strategy experience with utility customers.
• Experience in sales management with utilities.
• Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
