Job summary

Mohawk Industries is seeking a Dyeing Dryer Operator in the Dalton, GA area to operate the dryer and ensure smooth production lines. You will monitor defects, align materials, and coordinate with inspections and console operators to maintain efficiency and quality.

The role requires 3–6 months related experience or training, a high school diploma or GED, and prior tufting machine experience is preferred. This is an on-site position with full-time hours and potential for training and growth.

Qualifications

• Three to six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school graduate or GED equivalency preferred.
• Prior experience in operating tufting machine equipment required.

Responsibilities

• Watch for defects in carpet that might be caused by steamer or washers and contact supervisor about them.
• Align guide so that carpet and leader enter dryer straight.
• Ensure all circulating fans are running.
• Run inside rollers and tenter width correctly to keep carpet straight.
• Stay in close contact with inspector about moisture content, width and bow.
• Stay in contact with Console operator about the speed that you are running.
• Never leave dryer running unattended.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
