Job summary

Mohawk Industries, a Fortune 500 global flooring leader, is seeking a 2nd shift operator in Dalton, GA. You will operate equipment to cut, measure and wrap rolls of broadloom carpet or vinyl, inspect for defects, and input data using AS400/Alcon systems.

Lift truck certification is required and adherence to quality standards is essential. The role emphasizes attention to detail, the ability to read English, and strong teamwork to support production and shipping processes.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required or preferred.
Ability to read and write in standard English and numbers.
Some mechanical ability preferred.
Good attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to interact with others.
Ability to follow system instructions and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment to cut, measure and/or wrap rolls of broadloom carpet or vinyl.
Inspect rolls for processing and quality issues.
Process roll data in AS400 and Alcon systems using a hand-held scanner.
Inspect product for defects and ensure correct width and color/style.
Follow system instructions for reverse rolls and apply tickets/labels.
Observe equipment for malfunctions and replace worn parts as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
