Mohawk Industries is hiring a Tufting Machine Operator in the Dalton, GA area. You will operate a tufting machine, perform setup tasks, and ensure quality by inspecting during production, matching griege standards and addressing defects.

We expect a high school diploma or GED and experience with tufting equipment. You must read and write English, perform basic math, and pass health/safety training. The role may require lifting up to 20 pounds and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

Experience operating tufting machines is required.

Responsibilities

Operate tufting machine and perform setup tasks (threading, needle changes, blade checks).
Conduct production checks and verify deck board and backing.
Compare tufted carpet to griege standard and ensure match quality.
Inspect quality during runs and mend defects as needed.
Follow SOPs, report issues to supervisor, maintain safety practices.
Perform housekeeping and other tasks as assigned by management.
