Key Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms/areas for work activities, set up staging areas and equipment for each project.
• Communicate with management and other technicians to ensure efficient production processes.
• Perform various services including carpet and floor cleaning, odor remediation, fire and smoke damage restoration, mold and mildew remediation, and water restoration.
• Complete end-of-day and end-of-job cleanup, leaving the job site clean and orderly.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Complete necessary documentation.
• Perform basic equipment and vehicle maintenance.
• Maintain appearance and stock of tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.
• Maintain inventory of related supplies.

Water Damage Technician Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or GED
• Basic math skills and ability to determine appropriate equipment
• Basic proficiency with computers, email, and reporting devices
• Certification in relevant services such as Carpet Cleaning, Water Mitigation, Mold, etc.

Highly Desired Certificates

• Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT)
• Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)
• Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)

Skills, Physical Demands, and Competencies

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds regularly, up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and in tight spaces
• Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry objects repeatedly
• Ability to work with cleaning agents safely
• Successful completion of a background check as per legal requirements

Compensation

Compensation depends on experience, with hourly rates increasing as certifications and experience in water mitigation, mold, trauma scenes, and asbestos are gained. Commissions may also be available on top of hourly pay.
