Job summary

QXO is hiring a Carpenter Trainee to learn all aspects of residential construction, from framing to finishing. You'll work with experienced carpenters, read blueprints, measure, cut, and assemble materials, and contribute to new home and renovation projects.

This hands-on role emphasizes safety, craftsmanship, and teamwork. You will develop practical skills with hand and power tools and grow into a skilled carpenter within a supportive, hard-working crew at QXO.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry or related trade preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret basic construction documents.
• Ability to lift moderate to heavy materials as required (up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 80 lbs) and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine project requirements.
• Install, build, or repair structures and components using a variety of tools and equipment.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications.
• Load, move, and organize materials as needed for projects.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
