Job summary

QXO is looking for a Carpenter Trainee to learn residential construction alongside experienced carpenters. You'll gain hands-on experience in wood framing, blueprint reading, and material preparation while developing safety awareness and craftsmanship on new home builds and renovations.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry or related trade
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to read and interpret basic construction documents
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Dependable, organized, and able to follow instructions
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, or related environments
• Familiarity with material handling equipment
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and perform physical tasks

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials according to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
• Install, build, or repair structures using various tools
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy
• Load, move, and organize materials for projects
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work area
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Perform additional duties as needed
