Kitchen Tune-Up is seeking a Carpenter helper to join our team offering kitchen remodeling and cabinetry updates across Bloomfield, NJ and the surrounding communities. We offer our clients many different services from cabinet restoration, painting, redooring, refacing and new custom cabinets.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Arrive to jobsite on time in logo’d shirt and appropriate work clothing.
2. Follow instructions given by project manager.
3. Follow Trustpoints on every job.
4. Keep work area clean and orderly and clean up daily.
5. Communicate with project manager daily about progress.
6. Work quickly and efficiently (clients do not want us in their home any longer than needed).

Skills:

1. Stellar work ethic.
2. Able to follow directions from head technician without deviating.
3. Able to drill for hinges.
4. Able to install doors and drawer fronts.
5. Able to install roll-out trays in cabinets.
6. Tiling/Flooring.
7. Prep job site for tune ups, painting, refacing, and new cabinets.
8. Willing to learn.
9. Able to operate power tools.
10. Must be able to match colors (cannot be color blind).

Additional Skills (preferred but not required):

1. Prior experience in cabinet refacing.
2. Prior experience in cutting moldings.
3. Prior experience in kitchen remodeling.
