Caton Construction Group is growing! Currently seeking a Bridge Foreman for our bridge construction project in Wake County, North Carolina.

Starting pay is negotiable and based on skills and experience.

The Bridge Foreman is responsible for providing direct in-field supervision of a bridge and structures crew working on all phases of a heavy highway/civil concrete or steel structure and/or related construction projects. They maintain and improve efficiency and effectiveness under their direction and are the front-line safety officer, directly responsible for crew safety. This position works closely with the Superintendent to ensure quality and workmanship meet company standards.

Responsibilities

1. Plan and manage the crew for production and safety.
2. Assist management to ensure work meets project plans and specifications.
3. Maintain accurate reporting of materials and time.
4. Develop and implement project work plans, procedures, and standards.
5. Oversee work planning, equipment, and personnel needs.
6. Train, motivate, and evaluate staff.
7. Maintain records including job quantities, timesheets, and reports.
8. Conduct daily Toolbox Talks for safety and productivity.

Knowledge

• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Hands-on experience with pile driving, concrete forming and placing, and steel erection.
• Knowledge of bridge construction equipment and grade setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing a crew in heavy highway/bridge construction.
• 5+ years in heavy civil/structures construction.
• Experience with DOT and/or Federal projects.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of prevailing wage rules.
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• Valid Driver License.

Position Details

This is a full-time role with hours Monday-Thursday 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., with possible overnight travel.
