Responsibilities

• Construct built-in-place or pre-fabricated forms for concrete structures.
• Form and set barrier walls and retaining walls, up to 30 feet.
• Install form liners, texture, expansion joints, and set concrete beams.
• Weld metal deck, drive sheeting and piles, and operate tools safely.

Pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background checks are required.

Carpenter duties include, but are not limited to:

• Constructing built-in-place or pre-fabricated wooden and/or metal forms for forming concrete structures such as: footings, columns, caps, abutments, bridge decks, box culverts, etc.
• Forming and setting barrier walls and new retaining walls, sometimes as high as 30’
• Constructing walkways and false decking
• Installing form liners & texture on forms
• Installing expansion joints to grade on bridge decks
• Setting concrete beams
• Welding metal deck
• Driving sheeting and piles

• Working outdoors in all weather conditions; including but not limited to, snow, rain and varying temperatures
• Working at heights with the use of mobile equipment and ladders
• Frequently required to stand, use hands to hold hand and power tools, finger/handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk or hear. Occasionally, the work requires the employee to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Works safely near and around highway traffic and noisy operations
• Ability to lift or carry up to 10 or 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs
