Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and clean job sites of rubble and debris.
• Dig trenches, set braces for excavations, and erect scaffolding.
• Assist other trades and partake in general clean-up.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Perform general housekeeping and site cleanup at the end of shifts.
• Assist other trades as needed to keep projects on track.
• Work outdoors in all weather, including snow, rain, and heat.
• Move and lift materials within job sites, sometimes up to 50 lbs.

Laborer duties

• Operating a variety of hand and power tools
• Preparing, cleaning job sites of rubble and debris
• Digging trenches, setting braces to support excavations, erecting scaffolding
• Loading and unloading materials
• Performing general housekeeping and clean-up of job site
• Assisting other trades
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions; including but not limited to, snow, rain and varying temperatures
• Working at heights with the use of mobile equipment and ladders
• Frequently required to stand, use hands to hold hand and power tools, finger/handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk or hear. Occasionally, the work requires the employee to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Works safely near and around highway traffic and noisy operations
• Ability to lift or carry up to 10 or 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs
