Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Carpenter to construct and repair building frameworks onsite in Orlando. You will assemble concrete forms, install window frames, doors, stairways, and drywall, and ensure components are level and properly aligned.

The role requires reading blueprints, measuring materials, and handling heavy equipment safely. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and be reliable with punctual attendance. OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Follow safe work practices per safety program.
• Must take initiative and ask questions.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Provide own safety footwear.
• Must communicate effectively with coworkers and stakeholders.
• Strong mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills.
• Reliability with transportation and attendance.
• Preferred: OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assembly and removal of concrete forms.
• Build and install window-frames, doors, doorframes, staircases, partitions, millwork, trim, siding, drywall, and frames.
• Ensure flooring, roofing, and drywall are leveled and compatible.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand requirements.
• Measure and calculate material quantities; cut and shape wood or other materials.
• Load, unload, and distribute building materials, machinery, and tools.
• Promote a safe work environment and secure the jobsite daily.
