Job Title: Foundation Waterproofing Technician
This role supports foundation waterproofing projects by assisting with material handling, site preparation, and application of waterproofing systems. You will work on commercial and new construction job sites, performing physically demanding tasks such as digging trenches, moving materials, and using hand and power tools. The position does not require advanced trade skills, but it does require reliability, strong work ethic, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
You will join a small, tight-knit crew where your reliability and effort are recognized daily. The work offers consistent, full-time hours throughout the year, with slightly reduced schedules in winter to support work-life balance. You will gain hands‑on experience with recognized waterproofing systems and construction practices, building practical skills that can support long‑term growth in the trades. The environment emphasizes safety, teamwork, and steady employment on unoccupied new construction sites, giving you a clear path to develop your construction career while working outdoors.
You will work primarily on commercial construction and new construction job sites that are 100% uninhabited. The role is predominantly outdoors approximately 90% of the time and requires comfort working in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, and inclement weather. Typical hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with flexibility to start as early as 6:00 AM and work as late as 5:00 PM when needed. From spring to fall, you can expect about 40-45 hours per week, and during the winter season, approximately 36-40 hours per week. Most job locations are within roughly 30 miles of Dane County, with occasional work extending toward the west side of the region and between Madison and Milwaukee. You will generally meet at the shop each morning, then travel in a company vehicle as a passenger to job sites, or report directly to the jobsite when required; ride-sharing with teammates may also be an option. You will work in small crews of 13 people, using tools such as hand tools, power tools, and a personal tool belt. Safety is a priority, and you will be expected to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including leather boots, high‑visibility shirts, a hard hat, safety glasses, and durable pants such as jeans, all of which you must provide yourself.
