Job summary

Wood PLC is seeking a finish carpenter in Colorado with experience in industrial facilities. The role involves framing metal stud walls, hanging sheetrock, installing doors, trim, paneling, suspended ceilings and related office furnishings under supervision.

You will also smooth concrete surfaces, identify safe tool use, and handle equipment like manlifts and forklifts. A willingness to learn coatings, paints, and varnishes is required, with emphasis on safety and quality processes.

Qualifications

• Experience as a helper in Carpentry is preferred.
• Industrial facility experience is a plus.
• Must be able to use standard and/or metric ruler to measure.

Responsibilities

• Finish carpentry tasks: frame metal stud walls, hang sheetrock, drywall, install doors and hardware, paneling, suspended ceilings, toilet partitions and related office furnishings.
• Finish and smooth surfaces of poured concrete using hand and power tools under supervision.
• Identify and demonstrate safe usage of power and hand tools.
• Select and safely use equipment which may include manlifts, forklifts, and company trucks.
• Willing to learn coatings applications including paints and varnishes.
• Participate in safety meetings and the quality process.
• Clean the work area at day end or upon job completion.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The employee must be able to perform some finish carpenter work such as frame metal stud walls, hang sheetrock, dry wall, install doors and hardware, and install paneling, suspended ceilings, toilet partitions and other related office furnishings under supervision.

In addition to being able to smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools under supervision..

Identify, recognize and demonstrate safe usage of power tools and hand tools appropriate for the job.

Select and safely use appropriate equipment which may include (but not limited to) manlifts, fork lifts, and company trucks.

Willing to learn application of various coatings including paints and varnishes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Should have some experience as a helper in the Carpentry. Experience working inside industrial facilities is a plus. The employee must be able to use standard and/or metric rule to measure.
