Job summary

Brycon Corporation is seeking a skilled carpenter to perform a variety of carpentry tasks including reading blueprints, framing, and constructing structures. You will work with hand tools and shop equipment, ensuring safety and quality in every job.

Applicants should have 2–3 years of carpentry experience, a HS diploma or equivalent, and be prepared for background checks and potential background checks. Competitive wages are offered with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in skilled carpentry.
• High school diploma or equivalent desired.
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing required.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and sketches.
• Construct, erect, install, and repair structures.
• Wood and metal stud framing.
• Prepare surfaces for paint and other finishes.
• Operate hand and power tools and shop machinery safely.
• Receive materials and offload safely.
• Assist the superintendent with duties.
• Work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job description

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the use of hand tools
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and sketches
• Complete tasks such as, but not limited to, concrete forms and braces, handrails, stairs,
• Perform skilled carpentry work such as repairing and constructing all aspects of architectural building
• Construct, erect, install, and repair structures
• Wood and metal stud framing.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools and shop machinery in conjunction with proper
• Receive materials and offload in a safe and proficient
• Assist the superintendent in performing duties
• Prepare surfaces for paint and other
• Operate company vehicles, forklifts, and aerial lifts in conjunction with proper
• Other job duties as assigned
• Employee may be required to work extended hours (more than 8 hours per day), weekends, and holidays. Employee will be compensated based on guidelines in the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in skilled carpentry
• High school diploma or equivalent desired
• Must successfully complete and pass a background check and drug/alcohol testing
• OSHA 10 certificationpreferred
