Responsibilities

Brasfield & Gorrie is currently accepting applications for a Carpenter. Below are the main responsibilities for this position:

• Build rough wooden structures, such as vertical and horizontal concrete forms, gang forms, blocking, Johnny clamp forms, scaffolds, tunnel, bridge, or sewer supports, billboard signs, and temporary frame shelters, according to sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and work in a drug-free environment.
• Provide own tools including, but not limited to, hammer, speed square, tape measure, chalk box, pliers, and tool pouch.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Dependable transportation required to ensure punctuality.

Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience

• Preferably 3 years of commercial construction carpenter experience, with familiarity in vertical and horizontal concrete forms and gang forms.
• Ability to work at elevated heights, frequently lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
