We are based in Washtenaw County and serve the Southeast Michigan area.

Job Summary:

The Carpenter is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of doors, windows, and other carpentry-related tasks. You will work independently or as part of a team, supporting various carpentry projects.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

1. Construction Services and Repairs: Inspect, repair, install, modify, rebuild, construct, and maintain woodwork and related structures.
2. Customer Communication: Serve as a company liaison with customers.
3. Record Keeping: Accurately complete service-related documents and paperwork. Demonstrate strong attention to detail in record keeping and invoicing procedures.
4. Training & Development: Actively participate in available training and apply information to the job role. Seek performance feedback and continuous improvement.
5. Safety: Always maintain safety standards. Ensure proper use, maintenance, and reporting of all company property.
6. Crew Management: Responsible for the onsite job team of 1-3 people.

Specific Job Skills:

• Strong carpentry skills, especially exterior/interior trim, framing, and installs
• Experience with flashing, framing, or low-slope installs
• Ability to operate various contractor tools (hand and pneumatic, drills, saws, etc.)
• Ability to recognize on-site risk factors
• Regularly climb ladders and/or scaffolding for repair/install tasks
• Sense of responsibility and ownership for projects
• Clear understanding of company mission and values

Requirements:

• 3+ years of construction/carpentry experience
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Basic tool set (own tools preferred)
• High school diploma or GED
• OSHA 10-hour or EPA Lead RRP certification
• Solid carpentry experience and construction industry knowledge
• Ability to work efficiently and safely in a variety of home environments
• Willingness to follow company procedures and communicate clearly with the team
• Comfortable working solo, or as part of a team
