Join to apply for the Carpenter role at BELFOR Property Restoration

This position is responsible for providing operational support in reconstruction efforts for clients. The qualified candidate must have extensive carpentry experience and the ability to work independently. The candidate will assist with scope development with BELFOR Estimators and manage projects autonomously. An Intermediate Carpenter will also participate in developing basic carpenters. Objectives include expanding capabilities from residential to commercial and multi-family projects, leading and self-performing emergency services, and increasing material knowledge in various carpentry subsets such as framing, cabinetry, and trim. This position is Level 3 in the Progressive Carpenter track.

Responsibilities

• Recognize potential problems and request guidance promptly
• Answer project questions and direct complex inquiries appropriately
• Move and protect contents without damage
• Create containment for dust, dirt, and contaminants
• Perform floodcutting, salvaging, and labeling tasks using proper tools and methods
• Complete shrink wrap training and projects
• Identify insulation types, thicknesses, and R-values
• Apply skills in Trim, Doors, Cabinetry, Insulation, Framing, Ceilings, Roofing, and Siding
• Conduct vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
• Maintain attention to detail and uphold safety standards
• Understand and practice excellent customer service
• Work under time constraints and meet deadlines
• Work nights, weekends, and travel as needed
• Report work hours and resources accurately
• Attend safety and operations training

Minimum Requirements

• Supervise unskilled labor, entry-level employees, and subcontractors in residential settings
• Answer basic project questions and defer complex issues
• Maintain equipment used daily
• Perform emergency services such as board-ups and securing buildings
• Perform other duties as required
