Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the 4E General Medical Unit in Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time role requires 36 hours per week with day shifts and every-other weekend. Orientation week is mandatory.

You will assist with basic patient care, monitor vital signs, aid mobility, and support nursing staff while maintaining patient safety and comfort under supervision. CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited CNA course and the CNA certification exam.
• EMT or paramedics training course would be considered.
• Enrollment in an accredited nursing program with at least one major clinical rotation required.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with personal care needs under RN/LPN supervision.
• Assists with mobility and uses proper body mechanics to ensure safety.
• Obtains vital signs, input/output checks, and accu-checks; reports abnormalities to the nurse.
• Performs procedures as directed (EKG, perineal care, Foley bag care, back rubs) and documents care in EMR.
• Assists with admitting, discharging, transferring, and transporting patients; answers unit phones.
