Job summary

Essentia Health in Brainerd and Baxter, Minnesota, is seeking a Nursing Assistant to deliver direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role requires compassionate, reliable individuals who can work rotating day and evening shifts.

You will perform basic nursing tasks, take vital signs, assist with hygiene and meals, and help maintain a safe, clean environment while meeting Joint Commission and state regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 6 months of patient care experience.
• One semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program.
• Nursing Assistant training completed within 1 month of hire.
• Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program.
• Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal hygiene care and assisting with nutritional needs.
• Providing comfort care and other assistance.
• Appropriately and safely transferring patients.
• Taking vital signs and completing recordkeeping.
• Reporting changes in patient condition to the RN.
• Maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients.
