Job summary

Fundamental in St. Matthews, SC is seeking a Dietary Aide who helps prepare and serve meals to patients and residents, supports the Dietary Manager, and ensures meals meet dietary needs.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, fluent English, reliable transportation, and prior food prep/ service experience in long-term care is preferred.

We offer competitive hourly pay of $12–$16 with benefits including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) required.
• Food handler’s permit preferred per local regulations.
• Experience in food prep/service in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and service of meals for patients, employees, and special events as directed by the Dietary Manager.
• Serve food according to planned menus and dietary orders.
• Assist the Cook with portioning and safe food handling to meet menus and residents’ diets.
• May wash dishes when instructed by the Dietary Manager.
