Job summary

Fundamental in South Carolina is seeking a Dietary Aide to help prepare and serve meals to patients and residents. You will work under the Dietary Manager, following menus and dietary orders, ensuring food safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Food handler’s permit preferred per local rules.
• Experience in food prep/service in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is preferred.
• Must be able to speak, understand, and write fluent English.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and/or service of meals for patients, employees, and events as directed by the Dietary Manager.
• Serve food according to the menu and residents’ diet orders.
• Assist the Cook by ensuring proper quantity and safety of prepared portions aligned with menus.
• May wash dishes when needed or directed by the Dietary Manager.
