Job summary

Cedarhurst of Fort Wayne is seeking a Dining Server to provide courteous, efficient table service to residents and guests in a warm, inviting dining room.

You will follow established dining standards, assist with events, maintain cleanliness, and support cost-control while adapting service to resident preferences. Strong communication, basic math, and teamwork are essential to ensure safe food handling and excellent experiences for residents and their families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Up to two years of prior experience preferred, senior living experience strongly desired.
• State or county licensure preferred, with ability to obtain if required.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and health records systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with catering, room service, and special events to ensure resident satisfaction.
• Promptly take food and beverage orders and deliver service courteously and accurately.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area by washing pots, pans, and utensils and following safety standards.
• Clear, sanitize, and reset tables; dispose of trash and clean containers; complete daily checklists.
• Assist with cleaning dining areas, floors, tables, and chairs after meals and events.
