Job summary

Mountrail County Health Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in food preparation and service within the Food & Nutritional Services department. You will follow documented dietary procedures and help ensure safe, clean, and accurate meal delivery for residents and staff.

The role requires basic reading/writing, English proficiency, a positive attitude toward residents and coworkers, and the ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Completion of elementary education or ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must be able to speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and service of foods.
• Know and use portion control procedures.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning.
• Assist in dish and utensil washing and cleaning including gathering soiled items and placing clean items in proper storage areas.
• Assist in checking all trays/plates for completeness and accuracy of menu and diet preferences.
• Ensure proper storage of foods; maintain cleaning and safety in storage and distribution areas.
• Perform daily tasks in accordance with Universal Precautions and infection control policies.
• Report hazardous conditions, equipment issues, accidents and incidents to supervisor.
