Job summary

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a Dietary Aide to support Nutrition Services under supervision. You will assist in food preparation, serving, and maintaining sanitation and safety across food service areas.

The role emphasizes adherence to menus, therapeutic guidelines, and efficient operation of dining room and related service areas. Strong communication and independent work skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Food Handler Training Certificate Level 1 or willingness to obtain within 6 months
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in techniques and procedures

Responsibilities

• Assists in the training and/or orientation of Nutrition Services staff and students.
• Ensures familiarity with all diets and reference materials used in Nutrition Services.
• Adheres to approved menus and therapeutic guidelines for texture-modified diets.
• Assists with food preparation and serving per portion standards and guidelines.
• Delivers food carts/trays and maintains dining room areas.
• Cashes registers and completes related cash procedures.
• Maintains sanitary conditions and proper labeling of leftovers.
