Job summary

Kids for the Future in North Dakota is seeking a dedicated food service assistant to support residents and staff. Under general supervision, you will assist in food preparation, dishwashing, tray service, and routine kitchen tasks.

The role requires physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and read/write. Prior food service experience is preferred; CPR certification is required within 3 months of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• CPR certification within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Follows guidelines for table setting/tray service according to diet order and/or resident preferences.
• Serves food on clean, attractively garnished plates.
• Ensures food is served at correct temperatures and palatability.
• Covers, dates and refrigerates leftovers.
• Follows sanitary procedures while preparing and/or serving food.
• Follows sanitation guidelines while working with or cleaning equipment.
• Completes cleaning duties as directed.
• Monitors and records cooler, freezer and dishwasher temperatures.
• Assists and puts away groceries and supplies.
• Take out trash daily.
• Other duties as assigned.
