Job summary

Creative Corrections is seeking a Caribbean Program Advisor in Washington, DC for a contract role with the U.S. Department of State. The advisor will develop program plans, oversee implementation, and coordinate with INL/WHP teams to advance regional priorities.

The role requires a U.S. citizenship, a relevant degree, several years of experience, and strong writing and communication skills. A Secret clearance may be required as the program evolves.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Four to six years’ experience in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of international narcotics, law enforcement, or similar programs.
  • Understanding of U.S. government budget processes.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience drafting U.S. government reports and documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for Caribbean/South America programs.
  • Research regional security developments via diverse sources.
  • Support program implementation and maintain project files.
  • Track budgets and pipelines for projects.
  • Advise on funding mechanisms and obligations.
  • Coordinate with INL/WHP and implementers on deliverables.
  • Prepare background materials, reports, briefs, and congressional responses.
  • Provide general programmatic support and schedule interagency meetings.
