Job summary

Hawaiian Airlines is seeking a Cargo Agent to support import/export cargo handling, documentation, storage and aircraft servicing at Honolulu. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and strong customer service in a fast-paced, union-represented environment. Training and hazmat compliance are required.

This position offers competitive benefits and a starting wage of USD 16.24 per hour, with shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to train and pass forklift certification.
• Must be willing and able to learn and operate a computerized cargo system.
• Ability to complete Hazardous Material training.
• Ability to consistently lift up to 70lbs unassisted.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.
• Ability to demonstrate good customer relations skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with the public and all levels of employees.
• Must have a valid unexpired driver’s license issued by a US state, a US territory or the District of Columbia.
• Flexible to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification.
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Accept inbound and outbound cargo shipments and prepare documentation.
• Set up, sort, store and move cargo using handling equipment.
• Perform marshalling, loading and unloading of freighter aircraft.
• Prepare and submit U.S. Customs documentation for imports/exports.
• Provide information to customers on cargo services and shipment status.
• Audit daily transactions including OA transfers and electronic payments.
• Perform clerical duties and support operational reporting.
• Support team operations and adhere to safety protocols.
