Swift Transportation in Phoenix, AZ is hiring for a role supporting cargo discrepancy handling and customer service. You will coordinate dispositions, gather data, and monitor multiple delivery discrepancies across Refrigerated, Dry, Flatbed, Rail and Logistics loads.

The position requires 1 year of customer service experience, strong data entry, and the ability to handle high call volumes with excellent communication. Pay starts at $19.50 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in customer service or similar experience required.
• Must possess excellent multi-tasking skills.
• Must possess strong data entry skills.
• Must be able to handle a high call volume and follow up as needed.
• Must have exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate disposition of product refused by customer or left on trailers by customers.
• Investigate and perform data gathering activities.
• Oversee multiple open delivery discrepancies at any one time including Refrigerated, Dry, Flatbed, Rail and Logistics loads.
• Manage, control and monitor delivery discrepancies until the company has been relieved of control of the product by the customer.
• Ensure customers are appropriately billed for expenses related to services rendered.
• Respond to incoming calls, emails or messages from drivers related to cargo discrepancies.
• Monitor freight disposition queues and maintain KPIs.
• Evaluate refused freight and coordinate disposition with designated personnel.
• Verify and document proper handling of disposition in systems of record.
• Authorize and control costs by negotiating with customers and vendors.
• Make effective economic decisions based on data gathered.
• Contact all parties for updates on disposition of refused freight.
• Communicate updated claim information and shipper instructions; enter comments into systems.
• Notate and document all charges to ensure proper billing and recovery.
• Maintain queue of open claims waiting for billing.
• Communicate with billing to ensure timely application of charges.
• Proactively assist others in achieving organizational objectives.
