Job summary

IBC | Solutions for Smarter Logistics in Miami, FL seeks an Export Agent to manage end-to-end shipments from order to delivery. You will prepare bills of lading/AWB, ensure TSA/AES compliance, and coordinate with airlines, customers, and overseas offices to meet deadlines.

Join a team handling general and hazmat shipments, including Lithium Batteries and Electronics, and maintain precise communication across offices. Proficiency in Excel and Word is required.

Job description

Expedite and route movement of incoming and outgoing cargo and freight shipments in airline, train, and trucking terminals, and shipping docks. Take customer orders and arrange pickup of freight and cargo for delivery to the loading platform. Prepare and review bills of lading/AWB for export or Import.

• Process: Full cycle (A to Z)
• Industries: General & Hazmat (including Lithium Batteries, Electronics, and Automotive/Aviation Parts)
• Export Agent is responsible for coordinating, and executing, shipments to meet or exceed the customers' expectations
• Communicates with specified offices, departments, and teams on all issues affecting air export files, document requests, correspondence, and documents
• Ensures compliance regarding TSA and/or government regulations such as AES (Automated Export System)
• Process, arrange, and coordinate cargo bookings/shipping with customers and overseas office/agent.
• Convert and verify shipment weight and volume
• Calculate rates and price conversions; profit and loss analysis
• Maintain communication with customers, carriers, and vendors
• Coordinate pick-ups and invoice files
• Assist customers with questions, complaints, requests, tracking and tracing
• Handles light accounting processes accurately and promptly
• Coordination of transportation of shipments from customers door to airport of destination
• Arrange bookings with airlines, review documentation, and issue documents to meet government regulations and carrier regulations.
• Enter shipments; hawb, manifest, mawb's, certificate of origins, letters of credit.
• Ensure email, and telephone calls, are promptly and politely answered
• Other duties as required or assigned by supervisor*
