Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Cargo Service Agent to provide operational and customer service support for airline cargo operations. The role ensures accurate processing of shipments, documentation, customs reporting, flight preparation, and inventory management while upholding high service standards for airlines and customers.

The candidate will handle bookings, data capture, load plans, and regulatory reporting, working with internal teams and external agencies to maintain compliant and efficient

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of experience in air cargo, logistics, or related environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Outlook and the ability to learn and use cargo management and operational systems.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work extended hours and overtime on short notice to meet operational requirements.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required security clearances and Airport ID

Responsibilities

  • Process cargo pick-up and delivery transactions with driver check-in and document verification.
  • Receive, review, and process cargo bookings, shipment documentation, and operational reports.
  • Capture shipment data accurately and update the cargo management system promptly.
  • Prepare load plans, build manifests, and support flight departure activities.
  • Generate and submit customs and regulatory reports within deadlines.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide shipment status updates.
  • Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies and customer service issues.
  • Maintain organized records of cargo transactions and regulatory filings.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records of shipments and materials.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external agencies to ensure smooth operations.
  • Adhere to safety, security, and company procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
